Our Programs

These programs collectively reflect GreenAxis’s commitment to environmental sustainability, social impact, and economic empowerment. Each program targets specific aspects of the waste management value chain, contributing to a holistic and integrated approach.

PET & Plastic Collection Program

Objective: We aim to collect and process 15,000 tons of PET and plastic waste annually within communities in the South East region of Nigeria.

Waste Aggregator Empowerment Program

Objective: Empower waste aggregators to become micro-entrepreneurs, enhancing their livelihoods.

Financial Services for Waste Aggregators

Objective: Offer financial services to waste aggregators to enhance their financial well-being.

Household Recycling Onboarding Program

Objective: Onboard households in communities to actively participate in recycling initiatives.

Biocomposite Conversion Program

Objective: Convert worthless waste into valuable biocomposite materials.

Our Process

Our process begins with the collection of waste materials.

On-site, valuable recyclables like paper, glass, and certain plastics are sorted and sent to recycling facilities. The remaining waste, including non-recyclable plastics and organic materials, undergoes a friction process to reduce size and moisture in the organic waste. In the compounding stage, the dried organic waste and non-recyclable plastics are mixed with carbon sequestered biomass, serving as a binding agent. This precise blending creates a composite material with desired properties.

Next, the compounded material is extruded, pushing the composite through a die to form a continuous profile. These profiles can be further processed into granules or pellets for sale or other applications. Optionally, the extruded composite can be processed into building boards, offering a sustainable alternative to traditional construction materials. This entire process exemplifies our approach to transforming waste into valuable biocomposite materials.
